What a great job by the Mighty Mustang Band! Proud of all there hard work! Keep moving forward!

Four years ago, Mr. Enrique Carrillo walked into Bovina ISD with more than just sheet music and drills—he arrived with an uncompromising vision of excellence and belief in what our students could achieve. Alongside Assistant Band Director Mr. Fred Dominguez, that vision was shaped into daily discipline, heart, and relentless purpose. Today, that journey reached an unforgettable milestone: The Bovina Mighty Mustang Band earned a Division 1 rating at the Marching Band Contest, punching their ticket to the next level of competition! Behind that rating are hundreds of unseen hours. It started in the quiet heat of early summer band camp, grinding under the relentless Texas sun while most were resting. It meant early mornings on the asphalt, resetting drills until every foot hit the yard line in unison, late evening rehearsals, sore muscles, and the unwavering refusal to settle for anything less than greatness. Mr. Carrillo and Mr. Dominguez didn't just teach notes on a page; they built a culture of pride, grit, and family. They showed our kids what happens when you pour your entire soul into a shared dream. Today, every drop of sweat and every sacrifice paid off on that field. To our incredible band students: you carried the pride of Bovina on your shoulders, and you made history. To Mr. Carrillo and Mr. Dominguez: thank you for believing in these kids, demanding their best, and transforming the Mighty Mustang Band into a standard of excellence. Next stop: Region Contest! Mighty Mustang Pride!
